The fiber focus lens at the injection stage is the optic that makes that work — it couples two different wavelengths into the same fiber cleanly enough that energy stays stable across the full spot-size range, not just at one configuration.

That dual-wavelength, wide-spot delivery places a heavier demand on the focus lens than a typical single-wavelength setup. Both 755 nm and 1064 nm have to enter the fiber with consistent convergence, and the coupling must hold up under the high pulse rates Clarity II is built for.
