This UK-made Alexandrite flash lamp fits both of FineMEC's long-pulsed 755 nm Alexandrite platforms: the single-source Noblex and the dual-wavelength Nobleen. FineMEC — one of the first Korean manufacturers to bring long-pulsed Alex and Nd:YAG lasers to the global aesthetic market — built the Nobleen by combining the Noblex Alexandrite source with the Aileen Nd:YAG source on one chassis. Because both systems share the same Alexandrite laser architecture, the Alex-side flash lamp is the same part across both platforms.

What makes this lamp's role distinctive is FineMEC's Fine Square Shape Beam Technology — a square-pulse delivery profile that requires consistent, flat-topped discharge across the full pulse duration. With pulse widths configurable from 0.2 to 300 ms in single, double, or triple-pulse mode, output up to 80 J, and repetition rates up to 10 Hz, the lamp operates across an unusually wide energy and timing envelope. As the lamp ages, the first symptoms typically appear as pulse-shape degradation — uneven energy delivery within longer pulses, instability at higher repetition rates, or reduced peak output at the larger 15–20 mm spot sizes where the system is most demanding. 

This replacement lamp is selected for stable square-pulse behavior, consistent discharge across the full pulse-width range, and reliable operation at sustained 10 Hz firing.  During installation, technicians should inspect the lamp seating, reflector surface, RCS gas-cooling lines or air-cooling path, electrical contacts, and aiming-beam alignment before returning the system to clinical use.
