Flash Lamp for Alma Arion II

This UK-made replacement flash lamp fits the Alma Arion II long-pulsed 755 nm Alexandrite laser system, supporting stable triggering across the system's 5–140 ms pulse-width range at up to 70 W output. It is selected for reliable discharge across the platform's full operating envelope, including sustained 5 Hz scanner work and Burst Mode sequencing.

The Arion II is the second-generation evolution of the original Arion platform, which originated under the Quantel Derma brand before joining the Alma Lasers Alexandrite product family. The system is used for hair removal across Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV and for superficial vascular and pigmented lesion treatment.

Two platform features shape the lamp's role. Burst Mode splits each pulse into shorter sub-pulses with cooling intervals between them, placing repeated, closely-spaced demands on the lamp's trigger circuit. The optional scanner (60 × 65 mm area, 8–12 mm beams) works the lamp at sustained 5 Hz across larger treatment zones — the upper end of the rep-rate envelope. Lamp ageing typically shows up first during scanner or Burst operation — pulse-to-pulse variation, ignition delay, or reduced peak energy at the larger 14–16 mm spot sizes — before single-pulse handpiece treatments feel any different.
